ANFIA annually estimates the contribution to tax revenues deriving from tax collection within the automotive sector. It also distinguishes between expense items based on the various phases of the contributory life cycle: purchase, ownership and use of the vehicle.
Annually, ANFIA contributes, through the revision of national legislation, the drafting of the ACEA Tax Guide, a report that shows an overview of the taxation of motor vehicles in the 28 EU Member States, the EFTA countries (Iceland, Norway and Switzerland) and in the major world markets such as Brazil, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Turkey and the United States.
ANFIA also encourages and supports changes to the tax regulatory framework in order to simplify and reduce tax burdens, as well as to facilitate companies to invest in goods and technologies (tax incentives, Industry 4.0, tax credit for R&D, depreciation and amortisation, Sabatini ter, etc.).
